No internet access but Connected – Solved

Your Wifi or LAN is Connected but No Internet access error showing on your windows. Well, this is very frustrating. But don’t worry I have many solutions for that error. Yes, Many because sometimes 1 or 2 solutions are not worked for all. So we have 5 Solution to your single Problem

  • Restart Your System.
  • Restart Your modem or router.
  • Run the Windows network troubleshooter.
  • Change your IP address settings
  • Try a few command prompt commands
  1. RESTART YOUR SYSTEM-
    If you face this type of Problem Do the first thing that is Restart your system. Because sometimes an error may occur because of your OS not by your Modem or Internet Service Provider. Because we use dynamic IP on our system so some time that case this type of error but this can be easily solved by restarting your system.

    Note:- This step isn’t necessary if your connection issue is affecting multiple devices.
  2. RESTART YOUR MODEM OR ROUTER:-
    Now if you are using 2 or more devices and all are not working than you must have to restart your Modem or router because that IP issue is same over here.

3. RUN THE WINDOWS NETWORK TROUBLESHOOTER:
Sometimes you are having an issue with your PC Network configuration or Network setting but don’t worry it will be fixed automatically with the help of built-in Windows troubleshooter.

Here are the steps you have to follow – visit Settings > Network & Internet > Status. Select Network troubleshooter and follow the steps to see if Windows can rectify the problem. On Windows 7, you’ll find this same tool at Start > Control Panel > Troubleshooting > Network and Internet > Network Connections.

Now you can see either a “Red Cross” icon or “Yellow Triangle” Icon Now just click on it and troubleshooting will start automatically. And if the problem is from your system it will fix the no internet access error. Change your IP address settings

4. Change your IP address settings:-
Make sure your computer has a valid IP address. So in this Steps we are going to put IP and DNS address manually So just follow the Steps as show in the given Images below –

First Right click on the network icon and you will be this 2 option, Now click on Open Network & Internet settings

On Windows 7, right-click the network icon and choose the same option. Click the name of your network next to Connections.

Now just click on “Local Area Connection” From here, click the Properties button. Find Internet Protocol Version 4 in the list and double-click that. Here, Fill as it as show in the given below image –

Just fill exactly like this image on your setting. Click OK and then try again.
After this, your internet will be working.

5. Try a few command prompt commands :-
Now in this steps you can also try some Commands to solve this “No internet access” Error. Type cmd into the Start Menu, then right-click on it and choose Run as administrator to open an elevated Command Prompt window.

Use these two commands:

netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset

If that doesn’t work, try releasing your computer’s IP address and obtaining a fresh one with these two commands, one at a time:

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

Finally, refresh your computer’s DNS settings with this command:

ipconfig /flushdns

Now after this Restart your System and Your Internet will work perfectly.
